Showqaz Damola, is based in Lagos,Nigeria.
Showqaz Damola Is a professional Painter, born in Abeokuta North, Ogun state, Nigeria. He had both his primary and the secondary education at the same state. Having grew up in a land so full of cultural heritages, has greatly influenced his love for African cultural Art. He was keenly drawn to artistic creativity by self taught attitude and his belief in “LEARNING BY DOING” approach. His full interest was cultivated during his teenage stage and further developed after his secondary education in the year 1993. He opted for his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) both at Yaba College Technology, Lagos, Nigeria. Showqaz, loves impacting others with his God giving talents both in classrooms and studio exploration. And both practices made him delved even more into his commitment into experimental paintings which often led to expressing his art through different mediums, materials and styles, depending on his state of mind, feelings, thoughts or available materials. Hence his unusual creativities born out of boldness, intense creativity and urging for African modernism movement led to his most recent exploration named (Matstract Painting). Damola's works are in private collections home and abroad, And he had equally participated in series of art exhibitions here in Nigeria and overseas.
